Mark 11:15-19
15 So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 16 And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. 17 Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ”
“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God.’”
— Mark 11:22 (NKJV)
On the Monday of Holy Week, Jesus did something bold — He cleared out the temple.
(Can you imagine Jesus flipping tables? 🔥) He was making a statement: God’s house is a house of prayer and praise!
Sometimes, Jesus needs to do a little “spring cleaning” in our hearts too. He clears out the doubt, the fear, the distractions — and invites us back to faith. He reminds us: Have faith in God!
At Emmanuel Nazarene, every Sunday, every Wednesday, every time we gather, I see Jesus at work — flipping tables of discouragement, tossing out burdens, and building a community that’s FULL of life and hope! If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be loved, lifted, and sent out stronger than you came, you’re in the right place.
Today, let’s ask God:
– What tables in my life need flipping?
– Where do I need to have faith again?
And remember — it’s not about being perfect…
… It’s about letting Jesus shape us into people who shine His love.
Prayer for Today:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for loving us enough to clean out the things that don’t belong. Help us to trust You more. Help us to walk boldly in faith, knowing You are working in us. Thank You for our Emmanuel Nazarene family — a place where Your love is real and Your Spirit is moving! In Your mighty Name, Amen.”
Stay encouraged today! Keep your eyes on things above! Jesus is making all things new — even on a Monday! 💪🏼 If you were anything like my family today, we were on the struggle bus this morning!
See you at ECN — where God is building something amazing through YOU!!
Blessings!
