Holy Week – Saturday

Saturday of Holy Week… and if we’re honest, this one can feel the strangest of them all.

Jesus has been crucified.
The tomb is sealed.
The disciples are scattered, confused, and grieving.
And heaven seems… silent.

No miracles.
No thunder.
No word.
Just waiting.

“Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.”
Psalm 62:1 (NKJV)

This is Silent Saturday — the in-between.
Between heartbreak and hope.
Between Good Friday’s pain and Resurrection Sunday’s promise.

And maybe that’s where you are right now… in between.
Waiting for God to move. Waiting for a breakthrough. Waiting for healing.
It’s easy to feel forgotten in the silence.

But hear me today — God does some of His greatest work in the silence.
While the world thought nothing was happening, Heaven was preparing a resurrection.

At Emmanuel Nazarene, I’ve seen God show up in people’s “Silent Saturdays” — those moments when it felt like everything was still and stuck… but then suddenly, life turned. And when it did, you knew it was Him. Our church is full of testimonies that prove God never wastes a waiting season.

“Silent Saturday”

– What “in-between” season are you sitting in right now?
– Do you believe that God is still working even when you can’t see it?
– Can you trust Him in the silence — knowing Sunday is coming?

Prayer for Today:
“Lord, I don’t always understand the waiting, but I choose to trust You in it. Remind me today that silence isn’t absence. That stillness doesn’t mean You’ve stopped working. Strengthen my heart and restore my hope. Thank You for Emmanuel Nazarene — a place where even in the quiet, Your presence is loud. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

So take a deep breath today.
Let the silence settle your soul, not shake it.
Because the stone is still in place now…
…but it won’t be tomorrow.
